Our doors come pre-hung in a steel frame. Add a 0.5-inch gap to both the width and height for proper adjustments during installation. For example, a 36” x 96” door requires a rough opening of 36.5” x 96.5”.

Tools Needed:

• Tape measure, level, and a notebook.

Steps:

• Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom, and record the smallest measurement.
• Measure the height on the left and right sides, and record the smallest measurement.
• Use a level to check alignment and note any adjustments needed.

A door jamb is optional. You can install the door in an existing jamb or add one. For guidance, refer to our Measurement Guide.
