How to Measure

  • Width: Measure the opening and ensure the wall has enough space on one or both sides for the door(s) to slide open fully.
  • Height: Measure from the floor to the top of the opening.
  • Clearance: Allow at least 6" above the opening for the track, and 2–2.5" from the ceiling. Leave 0.4–0.6" beneath the door for the floor guide. We recommend making the door 1.5–2" wider than the opening to ensure full coverage and avoid gaps.

Note: Barn doors do not require a jamb or frame. The track system should be mounted into solid wood blocking or wall studs for best support.

    Our doors come pre-hung in a steel frame. Add a 0.5-inch gap to both the width and height for proper adjustments during installation. For example, a 36" x 96" door requires a rough opening of 36.5" x 96.5".

    Tools Needed: Tape measure, level, and a notebook.

    Steps:

    • Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom, and record the smallest measurement.
    • Measure the height on the left and right sides, and record the smallest measurement.
    • Use a level to check alignment and note any adjustments needed.

    • Custom Orders: 12–16 weeks. Expedited lead time is not available.

    Orders are packed in secure wooden cases to prevent damage. We deliver within the continental U.S., with shipping costs calculated during checkout. For Alaska and Hawaii, custom delivery estimates are provided.

    A door jamb is optional. You can install the door in an existing jamb or add one. For guidance, refer to our Measurement Guide.

    We offer handles with or without locks at no extra cost. For custom lock installations, contact us with details to confirm compatibility.

    We provide a 1-year warranty covering specific defects. Exceptions include improper handling, installation, and normal wear and tear. Read more in our Warranty Policy.
