Frequently Asked Questions
What materials are used in your doors?
Our doors feature a carbon steel frame with tempered glass panels, ensuring durability and style. The steel is finished with a matte black powder coating for a sleek, modern look.
What are the specifications for your doors?
- Steel Thickness: 1.26 inches (32 mm)
- Glass Thickness: 0.20 inches (5 mm)
- Frame Width/Thickness: 1.57 inches (40 mm)
- Weight (Without Packaging): 85–100 lbs, depending on size and style
What is tempered glass?
Tempered glass is heat-treated to be stronger and safer than regular glass. It's designed to shatter into small, less harmful pieces in case of breakage.
What is carbon steel?
Carbon steel is a durable, high-strength material that's resistant to wear and corrosion, making it ideal for long-lasting doors.
What types of glass do you offer?
- Clear Glass: Maximizes light and openness for modern spaces.
- Frosted Glass: Enhances privacy with a soft, diffused glow.
- Gray Glass: Offers a sleek, tinted look for added elegance.
- Ribbed Horizontal Glass: Provides texture and privacy with a linear design.
- Ribbed Vertical Glass: Adds dimension with striking vertical patterns.
Note: Glass type does not affect the price.
What are the color options for steel?
- Interior Doors: Matte Black (RAL 7021), Grey Blue (RAL 5008), Sepia Brown (RAL 8014), Olive Gray (RAL 7002), Pebble Gray (RAL 7032), Window Gray (RAL 7040), Pure White (RAL 9010).
- Exterior Doors: Any color from the RAL palette.
How do I choose the right door size?
Our doors come pre-hung in a steel frame. Add a 0.5-inch gap to both the width and height for proper adjustments during installation. For example, a 36" x 96" door requires a rough opening of 36.5" x 96.5".
How do I measure my door opening?
Tools Needed: Tape measure, level, and a notebook.
Steps:
- Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom, and record the smallest measurement.
- Measure the height on the left and right sides, and record the smallest measurement.
- Use a level to check alignment and note any adjustments needed.
How does installation work?
Our pre-hung doors come with a tailored Installation Manual. For professional help, let us know when placing your order. Installation services may be available depending on your location.
